AUSTIN, TX – The Green Workforce Collaborative is proud to announce the Central Texas Climate Summit, taking place Friday, July 25, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Center for Government & Civic Services at Austin Community College (Rio Grande Campus, 1218 West Avenue).
The Summit is designed to deepen collaboration across sectors and center community voices in advancing a greener, more equitable future. This one-day event will unite more than 60 community leaders, environmental advocates, students, and nonprofit organizers to build coordinated responses to the growing challenges of climate change and environmental injustice across Central Texas.
Opening the day’s activities will be Congressman Greg Casar.
Summit highlights include:
- A panel on The Climate Emergency in Texas + Collective Strategies
- Roundtable sessions focused on Advocacy & Campaign Building, Youth Leadership & Campus Organizing, Volunteerism & Direct Service, Testimony & Storytelling for Change
- Opportunities for networking, action planning, and partnership building
